Responsibilities Manage and look after the performance of databases across the organization. Analyze root cause problems for data integrity, database performance, and data quality issues identified by the team, QA, or by business report owners. Develop data models to meet the needs of the organization's information systems. Maintain data integrity by working to eliminate redundancy. Stay informed of the ways the organization uses its data. Monitor database systems to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, including performance tuning and query optimization. Design, develop, and implement database solutions and complex business rules in collaboration with the application development team. Provide relevant technical guidance and support to other members of the IT team and the wider organization. Key Competencies In-depth experience with MSSQL and underlying technologies. Data Integration design, development, and deployment. Strong relational and dimensional data modeling and database design skills. Experience with techniques for addressing performance issues and ability to tune SQL queries. Experienced in ETL development, data analysis, mapping, and automated loading. Analysis of data sources (data profiling, data quality, data discovery, etc.). Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Strong experience in performance tuning, T-SQL, and query optimization. Familiarity with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools (such as Redgate SQL Monitor). Understanding of data integrity, security, and compliance best practices. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong documentation skills including experience creating data flow diagrams. Knowledge of Connected Business, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is a plus.
