We have offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Canberra and can consider people in any of those locations.About the Role:Build and contribute to the design of our company's mobile platform.Design, develop, review, implement, and manage application code and services for the production and pre-release environments.Participate in Agile software development, prototyping, and code review with international development teams to build mobile apps.Understand the requirements of the customer or business and utilize this knowledge to develop applications that are consistent.Monitor for and anticipate platform trends and upcoming critical changes.Monitor client feedback for problems and proactively schedule resolutions where needed.Work with delivery teams to achieve success through development using CI/CD and DevOps practices, processes, and tooling.Provide robust coding practices and solid unit and component test coverage, and code debugging.Provide technical guidance and leadership to other development staff.About You:A strong interest and passion for mobile development.Android development experience, Kotlin and Java (5+ years).Experience with architectural patterns - Clean Architecture, MVVM, MVP, SMVP, MVC.iOS skills are required however not mandatory.Strong awareness of the banking and finance industry, trends, and threats (technology, products, regulatory environment).Proven experience as a senior developer working within Agile teams.Ability to step up and provide technical leadership and guidance where required.Experience in mentoring and sharing knowledge with your peers.You will have a Software, IT or relevant degree – Masters or Bachelor, vendor certification/s or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.Attitude is everything: a positive, can-do attitude who's willing to be open and pragmatic in getting the job done.Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills.Experience calling RESTful JSON services.Experience with open source libraries such as RxJava, Dagger 2, Coroutines.Experience writing highly tested code within a shared code base and applying best practice principles and techniques agreed on by the wider team.Experience working with CI/CD software development pipelines.Experience working in Scrum and associated agile techniques.Experience with using GIT for software version control.CI/CD pipeline creation, maintenance, and enhancements.Automated UI test development experience (Espresso).Knowledge of MVVM or MVP patterns, both preferable.Android Jetpack experience (LiveData, Data Binding).Multi-threaded development and debugging experience.Experienced across the full software delivery life cycle (planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance).Summary of role requirements:Looking for candidates available to work:Monday: Morning, AfternoonTuesday: Morning, AfternoonWednesday: Morning, AfternoonThursday: Morning, AfternoonFriday: Morning, AfternoonMore than 4 years of relevant work experience required for this role.Working rights required for this role.Expected start date for role: 30 December 2024.
