It involves owning and driving the end-to-end life cycle of stress testing exercises, from policy development to assumptions, modelling, results, and reporting. Stress testing supports crucial processes and decisions, including capital management, liquidity management, and contingency planning.How will you make an impactOwn, develop, maintain, and enhance stress testing models.Lead and coordinate the full life-cycle stress testing exercises, including planning, methodology, scenarios, assumptions, modelling, results, and reporting.Manage stress testing frameworks and policies.Oversee and communicate stress testing outputs and results.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on stress testing matters.Prepare and present stress-testing papers for management, Board, and regulators.Manage and document stress testing risks, particularly model risk.Plan and execute stress testing tasks and exercises throughout the year.What you will bring to the rolePostgraduate level degree (CA, CPA, CFA, FIAA etc.) in a finance, actuarial or economics discipline is preferred.Ideally at least 5 years' experience within the financial services sector within a regulated institution or the finance function within other industries is highly preferred.Well-developed financial and quantitative-related modelling skills and behaviours.MS Excel skills and ability to interpret data effectively.Knowledge of Data mining languages such as SQL/ Python will be highly regardedWe are looking for a candidate with an intellectually curious mind who can understand and explain complex data succinctly. They should be skilled in financial modelling, forecasting, and interpreting financial data, including cash flows and balance sheet projections. Understanding accounting principles, capital and liquidity impacts, and economic variables is essential. The candidate must also identify and address unexpected modelling results.Excellent multi-tasking abilities and teamwork are crucial, along with excellent communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders. Solid planning and organisational skills are needed to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
