The Analyst Pricing and Risk Monitoring supports the Senior Manager in maintaining the Guarantees Risk Management Framework documentation and associated educational/briefing materials. The role maintains and enhances the key tools and models for assumption setting, pricing, validation, monitoring, and reporting. The role supports the Senior Manager in setting key assumptions for pricing and hedging, and validates the recommendations and outputs from production tools and models.
Additionally, the role monitors the hedging and pricing activities to ensure they align with the Guarantees Risk Management Strategy and associated documents and provide associated reporting to committees and Boards. Finally, the role supports broader business initiatives and the Platforms Product and Pricing team.
How you'll make an impact Maintain and enhance risk management framework documentation and educational materials, including Guarantees Risk Management Strategy documents, Guarantee pricing framework components, and materials for internal and external stakeholders.Maintain and enhance key tools and models for assumption setting, pricing, validation, monitoring, and reporting, including GMxB Liability Pricer, Pricing Model, and hedging validation tools, ensuring accuracy and integrity of outputs, and challenging current methods to improve valuation accuracy and performance.Set key assumptions for pricing and hedging by reviewing financial market assumptions, client behaviour assumptions, pricing metrics, and mapping investment funds to the hedging program.Validate recommendations and outputs from production tools and models, including hedging recommendations, Guarantee Liability Sensitivities (Greeks), and outputs from the Economic Scenario Generator (ESG) and GMxB Liability Pricer Audit Tools.Monitor that hedging and pricing activities align with the Guarantees Risk Management Strategy, including investment funds menu and hedging program cash requirements, and provide reporting to committees and Boards.Support secretariat functions for key management committees and quarterly reporting to Boards and other Committees. What you will bring to the team Financial tertiary-level qualification or completing post-graduate studies such as PhD, AIAA, CFA, Master of Quantitative Finance or Applied Mathematics are highly desired.Ideally at least 5 years of relevant industry experience.Knowledge and experience with Excel, VBA, Python, Matlab, C++, SQL or other programming languages.Experienced in product and derivative pricing, investments, risk analysis, and developing and maintaining complex financial models.Excellent financial projection and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, diagnose issues, work with complex models, and apply judgment. In-depth understanding of superannuation, investment platforms, guarantees, derivatives, and associated risks.

Additionally, the candidate must be adept at managing multiple stakeholders and working towards meeting deadlines within allocated timeframes. They should always plan and act with the client in mind, seeking efficient and agile solutions to deliver exceptional service. An outstanding understanding of business metrics and a solid grasp of management information and performance measurement principles are essential for this role.
