About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Operational Risk Management, you'll play a crucial role within the Operations division as part of the CPS 230 Project Team, supporting our response to APRA's CPS 230 Operational Risk Management Prudential Standard.

As the Senior Analyst Operational Risk, you'll be essential to implementing and enhancing operational risk processes, controls, and frameworks. Working with key stakeholders, you'll help develop and document processes to meet CPS 230 obligations, ensuring robust risk management practices across critical operations and service providers.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Process Risk Assessment: Lead risk assessments of operational risk processes for critical operations and coordinate reviews of risk, compliance, and controls within our risk management system.Risk Controls: Ensure service provider systems, people, and processes align with enhanced frameworks, using preventative and detective controls to manage risks effectively.Business Continuity: Support developing and implementing business continuity plans to ensure Cbus can maintain critical operations during severe disruptions.Thresholds and Compliance: Define operational thresholds for critical functions, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with Cbus's risk appetite.Framework Implementation: Work alongside the CPS 230 Project Team to update and implement the Risk and Compliance Management Framework to align with industry standards, policies, and Cbus's risk management expectations.Control Processes and Risk Identification: Document control processes, identify risks, and ensure appropriate segregation of duties to establish robust oversight mechanisms.Policy Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert to respond to policy-related queries and present insights in working groups and other forums. About you
We're looking for a proactive professional with a demonstrated educational background in finance, investment, economics, or a related field (CFA, FRM, or PRM qualifications are a plus!). Ideally, you bring operational risk experience from within superannuation funds, investment banks, or investment management environments. You're technically skilled, with expertise in GRC systems like Archer and advanced proficiency in MS Office. You have a deep understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to superannuation and investment management, paired with exceptional stakeholder management abilities. Your adaptable problem-solving skills, influential approach, and dedication to cross-functional collaboration make you a valued team player focused on achieving shared success.
