Senior Analyst - Operational Excellence Re-engineeringThe Role:
CommBank's Business Institutional and Market Operations (BIMO) business is looking for an experienced Process Improvement Analyst to join the Operational Excellence team within our Chief Operations Office (COO).
BIMO sits within CommBank's Chief Operations Office (COO) which keeps the Bank running and powers our customer obsession. We process and execute many processes across the Bank supporting the Retail, Business, CommSec, Institutional businesses with banking, lending and market operations, along with running regulatory operations and Group regulatory projects.

As a Senior Analyst in our Operational Excellence team, you will contribute to re-engineering processes, workshopping and designing efficient and streamlined future-state workflows. This includes applying analytics skills to determine process inefficiencies and, through the analysis of data and current-state process, uncover areas of improvement opportunity.
The Operational Excellence Team is designed to contribute to strategic projects for the Chief Operations Office, with the purpose of transforming processes to deliver a world-class experience for our customers and operations colleagues. You will work with stakeholders across Business Banking Operations and Market Operations giving you exposure to various products and processes across CBA.
We employ a large toolkit of skills and experience from many industries to partner with business stakeholders to co-create end-to-end process, people, and technology future state solutions.
Do work that matters: Identify and prioritise opportunities to increase capacity, decrease risks, eliminate errors & rework, and improve end-to-end customer and colleague experience.Challenge process, people, and technology designs to ensure we deliver a high level of customer service with effective risk management and compliance.Complete all activities (process understanding, data analysis, workshop facilitation, stakeholder management) required to execute improvement initiatives across a multi-team value chain - using Agile, Lean Six Sigma Design Thinking or other relevant frameworks.Partner and create strong working relationships with business stakeholders to understand current state to embark on the subsequent re-engineering process.What skills you will possess:
You will have demonstrable analytics skills, and detailed experience in process improvement or re-engineering in a service-based, banking or financial industry.
You are also:
A self-starter who is pragmatic, adaptable, curious and eager to learn about new processes and policies.Hands-on experience in identifying and delivering process re-design initiatives, with clear and realised benefits.Demonstrated ability to understand, document, and analyse processes, particularly within back office, operational environments.Experienced in creating visual presentations and facilitation of workshops to articulate complex concepts to gain stakeholder endorsement of proposed solutions.Good problem-solving and quantitative analysis skills, including operations performance metrics and project cost/benefit measures.Continuous improvement qualifications e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking and/or experience of working within either Project Management and Change Management frameworks.Experience in operations, business banking and/or markets.At CommBank, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce reflecting the customers, businesses and communities we serve.
