What will your typical day look like?
This is an exciting career opportunity for a career focussed Senior Analyst to join our M&A transaction services team within the Deloitte Strategy, Risk & Transactions service line.
As a Senior Analyst, you will play a key role in driving the delivery of engagements and help your clients execute complex transactions.
You'll deliver commercial and financial insights through pre-acquisition analysis, financial due diligence, forecast reviews, and leveraging your general financial analysis skills.
You'll also have access to Deloitte M&A's extensive accelerators and assets, including our iDeal M&A analytics platform.
In this role, you will: Advise leading Australian and global institutions and private equity investors on a wide variety of complex and challenging transactions.
Develop a deep understanding of the target business and its drivers that impact business value.
Analyse information memoranda, business plans, management accounts and publicly available information.
Review historical trading, quality of earnings, cash flow, working capital, net debt, capital expenditure, forecasts, and underlying assumptions through discussions with management teams.
Report potential key issues for clients, including identification of risks or price factors impacting investment decisions.
Review sale and purchase agreements and financial models.
Develop your skills to build our brand in the market through business development opportunities with existing and targeted clients.

Our M&A Transaction Services team focusses on providing strategic insights and advice to our clients at all stages of the M&A lifecycle.
From pre-transaction analysis and due diligence to advising on strategic growth and funding initiatives during the investment ownership period and ultimately to exit through IPOs, trade sales and capital raisings.
Our team see transactions from end to end helping clients achieve their strategic goals and maximise transaction value.
Enough about us, let's talk about you.
You will have: An Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Business and/or Accounting Post graduate qualification or currently studying, e.g.
CA, CPA, CFA, MBA or Master's in Applied Finance Structured thinking style with focus on detail to support financial analysis required in a complex transaction Exposure to or interest in the broader deal/transaction process and M&A lifecycle Experience in a finance team (controllers, FP&A, etc.
), audit, assurance, financial due diligence or corporate finance.
External audit experience is highly regarded Experience with large data sets and analytical tools is an advantage Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Sound understanding of accounting principles and concepts A broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing and working in diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm's commitment to creating a more inclusive culture Leadership skills and previous experience with developing the capability of individuals Good time management and communication skills Why Deloitte?
