Your new role The role supports Investment Data management related activities, including the investment process to capture, maintain and improve Investment Data in order to produce complete, accurate and timely investment and different books of record (ABOR, IBOR and TBOR) to effectively manage the Fund's exposures on a daily basis.
The role of Senior Analyst, Investment Data Operations primarily exists to:
Lead and support the development and delivery of Investment data to platforms, such as: Portfolio Management System and Performance SystemsMaterially contribute to the evolution of Investment Data Operations by taking lead on design, development and delivery of improvement initiatives that will introduce efficiencies to platform workflows and operating processes.Jointly contribute to the successful delivery of the complete suite of Investment Operations Services into the Investment teamsSome key responsibilities but not limited to;
Lead and support the resolution of issues encountered during the daily processesLead independent and/or collaborative thinking to the design, development & delivery of innovative solutions and improvement initiatives across Investment Data Operations. Conduct all related activities including stakeholder management, change management and co -ordination across impacted business teams and service providersLead and support the resolution of issues encountered during the daily processes and escalate where appropriateConduct deep dives into issues and pain points and identify opportunities for efficiency/productivity savings. Manage the implementation of improvementsAssist to drive a continuous improvement mindset within Portfolio Operations by displaying a focus on change and improvement and working with the functional teams on change.Lead the Investment Data Operations team and support activities to ensure the completeness , accuracy, and timeliness of the daily data provided to downstream systems. Coach and develop team members and execute projects succinctlyCollaborate with Operational Risk Partners to ensure that new processes or changes to existing processes are designed and implemented in-line with existing risk guidelinesLead activities, as directed by the Manager, Investment Data Operations required to ensure workflows and operating processes used within AustralianSuper's Investment Operating Model continue to be fit for purpose and in line with end-user expectationsEnsure that the Investment Data Operations team appropriately contribute to the ongoing provision of all Investment Operations services and service standards required by the global Asset Class teams to effectively manage the Investment PortfolioWhat you'll need Minimum of 7 years relevant finance experienceAbility to understand and challenge existing processes to identify and drive improvementAbility to take ownership of initiatives and see them through to successful completionAdvanced understanding of ABOR/IBOR/Custody processesExperience in leading process improvement and change initiativesAdvanced interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas, issues, and solutions to key stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMeticulous attention to detailAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly ExcelAdvanced SQL highly regardedAdvanced Power BI / DAX/ TableauExperience in Aladdin, Bloomberg, Eikon and FactSet, highly desirableIntermediate PythonLife at AustralianSuper AustralianSuper is committed to colleague development, and we support our people with ongoing learning, coaching and training, as well as career opportunities across our expanding global organisation.
