The Smelting Analyst team is responsible for monitoring and the optimisation of 'smelting operations' using state-of-the-art monitoring processes.
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone able to manage high complexity in a fast-paced environment calmly and professionally.
Reporting to the Superintendent – Process Control, your core role will:
Analyse cell stability data to identify trends across short, medium and long term horizons.
Engage with site technical and operational leaders with proposed initiatives to improve cell efficiency and stability.
Interface directly with smelting operations to troubleshoot and investigate cell stability issues.
Develop practical logic to expand and develop remote smelting monitoring software tailored for each site's needs and wants.
Apply consistent application of best practices across all our operations, and identify opportunities to improve processes and systems with a continuous improvement mindset.

You will need to be a self-starter who thrives on achieving goals, immediate feedback and continued self-improvement and can work calmly and independently under pressure.
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
A high level of computer literacy and excellent verbal communication skills.
Experience managing and influencing a wide range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage high complexity in a dynamic environment calmly and professionally.
Ability to analyse data, build options and present recommendations based on data quickly and effectively.
Passion for continuous improvement and data driven decision making.
Flexibility to cover shift rosters and leave coverage when required.
It would also be beneficial if you have:
Experience in Power Bi report generation.
Coding language experience.
Previous experience in smelting operations, process control or similar type role.
