Develop & deliver an advanced modelling framework for the Pricing team Supportive team environment with flexible working arrangements Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne location The Data and Modelling team aspires to work with our business stakeholders and other pricing teams to provide data/modelling solution through the innovative data and modelling algorithms.
The Senior Data Science Analyst supports the Insurance Pricing & Analytics team by understanding the vison of the team and delivering end-to-end modelling frameworks aimed at creating best practice risk and demand models.
This role also involves understanding of consumer insurance product to align the work with business value.
What you'll do Ongoing advancement of our internal R-based modelling suite.
Develop modelling frameworks that automate the model build process; including the creation of models and diagnostics that align with business requirements.
Provide technical advice and training to the wider team, specifically in the use of R and modelling best practice.
Work on modelling components in major pricing projects (eg.
full rate reviews).
Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis where required.
Experiment with new ideas to improve our modelling process (eg.
understanding data, interpreting models, improving prediction accuracy, making processes more efficient and new modelling techniques).
What you'll bring Bachelor's Degree in a Quantitative Subject Area (eg.
Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Actuarial).
2 years of experience working in an Advanced Analytical or Data Science related field of work.
Experience coding in any language (e.g.
R, SAS, Python, VBA, C++, Java, Javascript, HTML).
Effective communication skills with the ability to translate advance technical concepts.
