The Senior Analyst contributes to the design and ongoing development of APRA's taxonomy and data collections, as APRA continues its focus on transforming our technology and use of data.
The role engages with various stakeholders to ensure our data collections can be used for prudential supervision and meet the needs of government.
The team Data Collection Design (DCD) sits within the Data Collection Design and Management team, and is part of the Chief Data Office function.
DCD is responsible for creating and maintaining APRA's reporting standards, data collections, and taxonomy.
Collections are developed in consultation with industry and facilitate the submission of data from the financial sector.
Data collected in this manner is used within APRA and throughout various government departments and agencies.
Key responsibilities Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements for data collections;Provide guidance for data collection and taxonomy design to facilitate collection and analysis of data;Provide input as a data SME into industry consultation material;Help finalise reporting standards so that they align with APRA Connect collections;Build data collections in APRA Connect including validations and derivations;Provide second level support for the use of data collections and taxonomy;Help improve work processes to gain efficiencies and provide better outcomes.About you A working understanding of data modelling and analysis;Strong problem-solving skills;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;Ability to manage the needs and expectations of a variety of stakeholders;Excellent attention to detail;Advanced Excel skills are beneficial;SQL knowledge is beneficial.To work with us, you need to be an Australian citizen with eligibility to gain a Baseline Security clearance.
