About the role – Permanent, full-time (remote) The AML/CTF Advisory and Integration Team is vital in maintaining our bank's compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) regulations. As the Senior AML/CTF Compliance Advisor , you will provide expert guidance to various business units, ensuring adherence to the AML/CTF Act and the bank's specific programs. Working closely with the Leader, AML/CTF Advisory & Integration you will contribute to key projects and be instrumental in integrating AML/CTF practices across our newly unified brands. Due to complex ongoing merger integration activity and the changing AML/CTF regulatory environment, this position requires a strong foundation of experience to hit the ground quickly. Your expertise will be essential in promoting compliance and fostering a culture of proactive risk management, safeguarding our bank's integrity and reputation in the ongoing fight against money laundering and terrorism financing.
Key role responsibilities include: Offering expert AML/CTF advisory services to internal units, aiding in the understanding and integration of compliance requirements into operational processes. Assisting in the review and updating of AML/CTF and Sanctions policies and programs to keep them aligned with risks and regulatory requirements. Working with Legal, Risk Management, Compliance and business units to identify and alleviate AML/CTF risks and respond to potential issues or incidents promptly. Contribute to regular reports on AML/CTF compliance activities to the Head of AML/CTF, highlighting key findings, achievements and areas requiring attention. About you Ideally you bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in AML/CTF compliance or advisory roles within the banking or financial services sector, along with qualifications in AML/CTF, compliance, law (or a related field) and AML/CTF related certifications such as CAMS. Your strong knowledge of AML/CTF and sanctions regulations, along with industry best practices, positions you as a trusted advisor. You have a proven track record in writing, updating, and managing programs, policies, procedures, and risk assessments and able to apply this with an AML/CTF lens. You excel in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, enabling you to tackle challenges effectively.
