Time left to apply: End Date: October 8, 2024 (12 days left to apply) Job requisition ID: 0121670 Full time, fixed term role until January 2025 Excellent opportunity for you to apply your compliance and reporting knowledge into practice Base Salary: $121,508 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) team is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Senior AEM Developer to join their collaborative team.
As a Senior AEM Developer, you will leverage best practices and methodologies to craft and implement top-tier solutions for our clients.
Your role will be pivotal within our team, encompassing the entire software development lifecycle—from analysis and requirement specification to use case and data modelling, technical design, development, testing, and implementation.
You'll be dedicated to completing assigned tasks and specific project tracks on schedule, raising issues when necessary, and offering guidance through code reviews, workshops, and documentation.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Develop and maintain our AEM web platform with high quality in mind Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle Develop automated tests and create unit tests through appropriate tools and scripting Peer code reviews considering security, performance, resiliency, and coding standards Collaborate within and across our teams of developers and quality members Ensure code is adhering to necessary coding standards Write technical documentation for websites and digital applications developed Keep up to date with new and emerging technologies and programs as well as best practices in web development and delivery Undertake ad-hoc projects and other activities and perform work activities relevant to the role's key accountabilities as approved by the Manager and commensurate to the role's classification level.
About you Strong Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Java skills required with 5+ years' experience in building Java 11 and onwards applications and solid grasp over design patterns Specializing in AEM 6.5 including editable templates, core & custom components, templates, taxonomy, metadata management, replication, workflows, tagging, analytics, dispatcher, deployment (Maven) and content migration and planning Strong knowledge of AEM best practices.
Understand and implement best practices for accessibility, SEO, URL management, security, performance tuning and responsive architecture Strong understanding of OSGi, Apache Sling, Apache Sightly, Apache Oak, Coral UI, Granite UI Strong knowledge of unit testing frameworks like JUnit5, AEM Mocks Strong experience with integrating AEM with third party web-services Working understanding of scripting languages such as Groovy, Bash Good understanding of AEM capabilities including editable templates, multi-site manager and blueprints and the use of online marketing components such as advanced targeting, personalization and multi-variate testing Well-developed organisational skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and to meet deadlines Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, Adobe Target and Adobe Analytics Sponsorship / work rights for Australia Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
For a continuing position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.
Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
