This full-time role, reporting to the General Manager, Policy and Advocacy, plays a pivotal part in shaping and driving our advocacy initiatives to support our strategic objectives and elevate the College's profile.What You'll Do:Safeguard and enhance RANZCR's reputation as a trusted voice in the medical community.Develop and monitor strategic advocacy plans, aligning them with the College's overarching goals.Proactively create opportunities for College representatives to engage with Health Ministers, influential MPs, and government officials across Australia and New Zealand.Build and maintain a network of key stakeholders in health policy and advocacy.Track and respond to current policies, legislation, and political developments relevant to clinical radiology and radiation oncology.Draft compelling policy and advocacy documents, submissions, and presentations to influence policy design.Lead and support impactful promotional and advocacy campaigns, collaborating closely with the Communications Team.Conduct thorough research, prepare event reports, and manage media-related tasks as needed.Keep key committees, Faculty Councils, and the College Board informed with timely updates on advocacy efforts.To be successful in this role you will have:Extensive experience in government relations and advocacy, with a strong grasp of Australian (federal and state) and New Zealand government systems.Proven relationship-building and negotiation expertise with a successful track record in aligning diverse stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.Ability to present confidently to professionals and stakeholders.Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal.Strong organisational skills and a disciplined approach to time management and project delivery.Demonstrated ability to identify and manage risks effectively.A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
