Overview of People, Governance and Integrity Branch:The People, Governance and Integrity Branch in NEMA provides support across the areas of Governance, Coordination and Human Resources.
Governance and CoordinationThe Governance and Coordination section manages multiple enabling functions for NEMA, including Ministerial, Parliamentary and Cabinet, Planning and Performance, Risk and Audit, Integrity, Fraud and Public Interest Disclosures, Conflict of Interest, Privacy, Freedom of Information and Whole-of-Government coordination.
Human ResourcesThis function is split across two teams:
Conditions and Wellbeing who provide wellbeing support and initiatives, learning and development proactive early intervention support and rehabilitation, guidance and expert advice on payroll matters, working conditions and work, health and safety services.Engagement, Strategy and Performance who provide recruitment, onboarding, performance management, culture, workforce planning and reporting and HR services.We are looking to fill multiple APS 6 Senior Advisor roles across the People, Governance and Integrity Branch.
As an APS 6 Senior Advisor, you will work autonomously to lead the delivery of a range of People, Governance and Integrity services and advice to business areas across NEMA.
You will be committed to ongoing development of your People, Governance and Integrity expertise and apply problem-solving across a range of functional areas including Human Resources, Governance and Compliance.
The key duties of the position include:Provide timely and quality customer service in a regulatory environment.Lead the delivery of logistical People, Governance and Integrity support to internal and external stakeholders in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.Prepare reports and provide recommendations from a range of data sources to provide visibility to senior executives on a range of People, Governance and Integrity matters.Provide coordination and secretariat support for relevant committees, networks and stakeholder engagement.Prepare formal correspondence for an executive audience, including briefs and minutes.Be proactive in self-development by applying constructive feedback and committing to ongoing professional development.Promote an inclusive and diverse workplace culture and ensure all staff are valued and recognized for their qualities, ideas, and perspectives.An understanding of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, Work, Health and Safety Act 2011 and Public Service Act 1999 are desirable for these opportunities.
