We have an opportunity for a Senior Advisor, Planning and Environment role for our West Gate Tunnel Project. Reporting into the Environment Manager, this role is responsible for providing professional advice on a range of planning and environmental issues, monitoring, assessing and reporting on compliance and close-out of project completion activities, reviewing construction documentation, statutory planning referrals and assisting in the management and resolution of significant project issues.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a project team.

Exercising analytical and problem-solving skills to pre-empt and mitigate project risks in relation to planning and environmental matters.Taking lead on key planning and/or environmental tasks associated with project completion activities with the transition to the operational phase, working closely with the Land & Property team (i.e. Planning Scheme Amendments, EPR obligations, road declarations, surplus land strategy).Observing and monitoring the Independent Reviewer and Environmental Auditor activities including managing and coordinating the review of audit reports for compliance against the approved Environmental Management Strategy (EMS), Construction Environment Management Plan (CEMP) and Worksite Environmental Management Plans (WEMP)s.Reviewing and interpreting project data and reporting, providing clear, concise and accurate information on key planning and environmental issues or risks to assist project delivery.Overseeing the management of State appointed consultants as required to assist progression of the project.This opportunity is an 18 months fixed-term position.
