As one of only a few national law firms with a head office in Brisbane, a rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced marketing professional to work closely and directly with a newly appointed Head of Marketing (HOM) to drive marketing and communications projects and initiatives.
We are seeking a Senior Advisor level business development professional who has a passion for relationship-based marketing and client excellence.
Working within a growing marketing and business development team (currently five professionals), this role will predominantly support the HOM and the firm's practice group leaders with tasks and activities that acquire, grow and retain the firm's key clients and referrers.
Experience with supporting industry sectors, client teams, tender and proposal responses and running strategic events is highly advantageous for this role.
Key Responsibilities Assisting with the development, maintenance and execution of client and industry planning documents (including attending industry or client group meetings).Management of pitching and proposal responses, including assisting with pre-positioning, drafting responses, assisting with tender debriefs and managing the tenders database.Assisting the HOM with a project to create a suite of Master Assets for use in future tenders and proposals.Working with our events coordinator to manage strategic events relevant to the firm's key stakeholders.Managing industry or work-type focused sponsorships and stakeholder arrangements.Assisting with research to identify and communicate market insights with the HOM and Principals to drive client value.Assisting the Principals to create targeted presentations and promotional materials relevant to their clients and referrer networks.Providing advice and guidance as to the best approach to relationship management of key clients and referrers.Assisting with client relationship management and client listening.Experience We are seeking someone with demonstrable experience in a similar role within the legal industry or a comparable professional services environment.
Attractive candidates will have:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.5+ years of experience in a similar role.Experience in the development and production of tenders and capability statements.Experience with managing or supporting client teams / industry teams.Experience using CRM databases and analysing reports and client data.Experience with strategic events and sponsorship management.Excellent communication and organisational skills.A positive attitude and an ability to influence stakeholders at all levels to do BD activity.Desirable technical experience: CRM and ERM systems – particularly HubSpot or Client SenseExperience reviewing BI dataEmail marketing and automation systems (particularly Active Campaign)Experience with online event management systems.Advanced skills in the Microsoft Suite are an expectation (MS Word, PPT, Excel)Why McInnes Wilson Lawyers?
