Provide executive support to the Office of the Director, ensuring the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of service area strategies, policies and procedures. As a Senior Advisor you will ensure the efficient, effective, consistent and integrated provision of accommodation and respite services.
This position is part of the Service Area Accommodation Support and Respite Services team. The Service Area covers service centres across the region.
Desirable Requirements:
• Provisional or Open "C" or "CA" class Australian driver's licence.
• Disability Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card).
• The successful applicant will be supported to obtain this if they do not have a valid Yellow Card.
• Travel across the service area will be required.

Key responsibilities of this role include:
• Developing and maintaining information systems, guidelines, rules, procedures, resources and tools to ensure requests for information are responded to in a timely and efficient manner.
• Undertaking projects as requested by the Director of the Service Area.
• Assisting in the review of service area and service centre strategies, practices and procedures in relation to the delivery of services to people with a disability to ensure an integrated and consistent system.
• Planning, undertaking and reporting on projects as identified by the service area.
• Contributing to the development of operational plans and strategies to address the integration of planning processes which are consistent with departmental goals and objectives.
• Assisting in the implementation of appropriate quality monitoring mechanisms and evaluation procedures, including service evaluations.
• Assisting in the identification of service area and/or service centre priorities and planning in the delivery of services.
• Representing the service area in meetings and/or forums with government and non-government agencies, and promoting a positive public image of the Department.
• Identifying risks and providing assistance in the coordination of risk mitigation strategies to ensure safeguards are maintained, and efficient, quality service delivery continues to be achieved.
• Recognising and contributing to the AS&RS Governance Structure, supporting quality outcomes for staff and clients through the delivery of quality services and continuous improvement.
