Our team is currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Advisor – Environment Approvals for an 11-month FTC from February 2025.
What you'll do: Develop and manage environmental approvals documentation with a focus on biodiversity offsets in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.Coordinate with various stakeholders, including government departments and technical consultants, to ensure compliance and timely delivery of projects.Oversee biodiversity offset management, conduct peer reviews, and support project-specific environmental management systems.Engage with internal and external stakeholders to maintain productive relationships and contribute to the development of the Environmental Management System.Lead and mentor team members, ensuring adherence to quality and project timelines while promoting a safe and collaborative work environment.About you: Hold a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science or a related field.Proven experience working within project teams and delivering environmental offset projects.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of effective reporting.Up-to-date knowledge of State and Federal Environmental legislation and experience managing approvals for infrastructure projects.Demonstrated ability to implement EPBC offsets and manage compliance reports.Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and projects efficiently.Working within an airport environment is preferred.The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the field, with prior experience in restoration and community engagement looked upon favourably.
This role will require high-level communication and rapport with all levels of employees both internally and externally to the business.
