Purpose of the Role The Senior Advisor, Engagement (Early Childhood) builds and maintains relationships across the early childhood sector to ensure effective communication, collaboration and alignment with AERO's goals to maximise reach and impact.
Accountabilities: Conduct regular stakeholder mapping, to identify influence, interest and impact and to understand sector needs. Lead the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies that align to organisational objectives. Oversee the development of content for workshops, presentations or other forms of communication to ensure stakeholders are informed and up to date with AERO's work. Work closely with the broader ECEC team and other departments to ensure a strategic and planned approach to early childhood stakeholder engagement. Lead the organisation and management of stakeholder meetings, events or workshops to foster engagement and collaboration. In the above functions, monitor engagement with ECEC stakeholders to identify risks and gather feedback to ensure the achievement of organisational objectives. Partner with teams across AERO ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of organisational objectives. Prepare occasional reports, briefs, papers and correspondence as required, including for the Board and bodies in the national education architecture. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in early childhood (degree or higher) and experience in leadership roles. Knowledge and Experience:
Strong understanding of the early childhood landscape and policy frameworks. Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective partnerships with a range of key stakeholders. Experience in collaborating with a team to deliver complex, high-quality products under tight timelines with competing priorities. Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to create compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
