About the role Reporting to the Community and Social Performance Manager, this role positions you as a specialist with a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders based on mutual trust, positively impacting communities through social and economic development, and developing and implementing policies, procedures and plans related to De Grey's social performance.
Key responsibilities include: Lead development of the Stakeholder Engagement Plan and carry out successful engagements to build relationships based on mutual trust.Lead development of the Social Investment Plan to make a positive impact on the communities De Grey operates in through partnerships, sponsorships, donations and volunteering.Collaborate with internal functions to drive outcomes required to meet De Grey's social performance ambitions and commitments (i.e. as set out in Annual Reports, sustainability strategy etc.)Social risk identification, review, reporting and deployment of risk management measures.Contribute to the development of Community and Social Performance strategy and advance work in the context of that strategic direction.Co-ordinate studies and assessments, delivered by specialist advisors and consultants to support De Grey's project and business needs.Identify and address challenges in managing human rights, share knowledge and insights on respecting human rights and support implementation of the Human Rights and Modern Slavery Work Plan.About You We're seeking a Senior Advisor Community and Social Performance who will effectively manage social performance risks, impacts, and opportunities, while nurturing the relationships and partnerships necessary to maintain social licence to operate.
The ideal candidate will have: A Graduate Degree in Social Sciences or related field e.g. Sociology, Community Development, Social Impact, International Relations, Politics.Experience in stakeholder engagement internally and externally, including with Traditional Owner and/or Indigenous groups.Experience developing Community and Social Performance Management System Documentation, and strong project management skills.The ability to build relationships and fosters cross functional collaboration.C-Class Driver's License and National Police Clearance.It will be beneficial if you have knowledge of the resources sector, trends and socio-economic influences, and have worked with regulatory bodies, however not essential.
