Customer Solutions; Passenger Transport Strategy & Technology; TransLink; BrisbaneExciting opportunity for a Senior Advisor (Communication) to develop, implement and evaluate communication and community engagement strategies and activities for public transport services, changes and initiatives.Translink Division is responsible for delivering public transport across Queensland, with the Communication Team focused on external communication for bus, train, ferry and tram services and network changes. The objective of the Senior Advisor (Communication) is to deliver clear, customer-first messaging about changes on the network.Key responsibilitiesThe role of the Senior Advisor (Communication) is to develop, implement and evaluate communication and community engagement strategies and activities for public transport services, changes and initiatives.Some of your responsibilities will include:• provide expert communication and community engagement advice to project teams, including identifying and mitigating risks• develop, implement, and evaluate complex communication and community engagement strategies on high profile and sometimes contentious projects to tight timeframes and within budget• develop high quality and effective communication tools, including advertising, printed promotional materials and collateral messaging• cultivate and maintain effective relationships with Translink's key stakeholders, including other government agencies and local councils to ensure Translink is achieving its goals• assist, where required, the Principal Advisor and Communication Manager in managing complex and contentious issues and communication challenges• in conjunction with the Principal Advisor (Communication), support and coach other team members to ensure the busy workload is delivered to acceptable time and quality standards.About youWe recognise and celebrate that everyone is unique and seek the applicant best suited to the role.
