THE ROLE
The Senior Advsior, Aboriginal working is responsible for leading implementation, monitoring and oversight of the Aboriginal workforce strategy 2021 – 2027 and supporting improved capability across the department. A key function of the role will be to lead all the departments Aboriginal employment pipeline and development programs and policies, including internships, graduates, leadership and develop new programs in line with the strategy. In the role you will work collaboratively across all the department and with key stakeholders including executives, managers and colleagues to ensure we are achieving the implementation action in the Aboriginal workforce strategy.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
Coordinates, communicates and delivers Aboriginal workforce strategy initiativesProvide strong leadership and work in close collaboration with senior management to strengthen project management, policy implementation planning, advising programs on scheduling and approaches to ensure policy consistency.Coordinate policy and responses to service delivery impacts in emergency situations, including annual reviews and updates of existing policies.
