THE ROLE:
An ongoing opportunity is available in Austrade's Strategy and Performance Team as a Senior Adviser. As part of the team, you will play an important role in helping shape Austrade's strategy at an organisational, sectoral and regional level. You will also contribute to establishing and monitoring Austrade's performance.

DUTIES INCLUDE: Working closely with the Head of Strategy and Performance and the team managers, you will: Lead strategic projects, requiring consideration of complex organisational challenges and the ability to recommend changes based on evidence. Examples of recent projects include: Prioritising export markets to inform Austrade's trade activities. Identifying key medium to long term export opportunities to grow Australia's exports. Supporting programs of work to grow Australia's exports and attract foreign direct investment. Set future priorities for Austrade in consultation with the Head of Strategy and Performance and Austrade's senior executive team. Support the development of corporate publications, including the Portfolio Budget Statement, Corporate Plan and Annual Report. Provide clear, strategic and practical advice and briefings to Austrade's executives and other stakeholders using advanced Word, PowerPoint and Excel capability. Build effective relationships with senior government and external stakeholders, including by representing the team at forums, such as on internal committees, as well as at external events. Capture and evaluate key Austrade performance metrics across the organisation to measure Austrade's value-add and other reporting responsibilities.
