Senior Adviser - Health Safety and WellbeingAn exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as the Senior Adviser – Health, Safety and Wellbeing to ensure the delivery of business objectives through developing and implementing a contemporary Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) system.
The position will assist with the implementation and management of the HSW management system as well as HSW initiatives and programmes to improve health, safety, and wellbeing.
This position will consult and work collaboratively within the HSW Group and more broadly with key stakeholders to strengthen outcomes for the organisation including the continuous improvement of health and safety performance and ongoing development of organisational culture in relation to HSW standards and practices.
The Safety and Psychosocial Health Team comprises the following specific functions:
Operational SafetyCritical Risk Projects, SafetySafety, Governance, and Psychosocial HealthKey responsibilities of this role: Satisfy public sector ethical standards and organisational codes of conduct and values.Satisfy all relevant statutory obligations.Comply with the Information Privacy Principles of the Information Privacy Act 2009.Contribute to and support the achievement of the organisation's Corporate Plan.Align with authorised policies, guidelines, and procedures.Support and contribute to customer service that satisfies the organisation's Charter.Protect the safety of self and other workers through safe work practices as detailed in the Workplace Health and Safety Responsibilities Procedure and associated statements.Lead and assist the Safety & Psychosocial Health Team in the development and utilisation of strategic and operational processes, initiatives, and programmes to address and improve HSW risk profiles.Investigate and report on incidents and non-conformities indicating failures or absences of HSW risk controls and continuous improvement of the HSW risk management system.Evaluate HSW performance data to assist departments in identifying trends and implementing preventative strategies and to assist the Safety & Psychosocial Health Team in identifying areas for improvement in the HSW management system.Support the Safety & Psychosocial Health Team in the identification and management of HSW implications of organisational change and assist in the change process to minimise adverse effects and maximise positive effects of the change.If this role sounds like you, please apply.
