About the role: * The Senior Adviser, Communications and Engagement reports to the Manager, Corporate Services.
* The role leads strategic communication initiatives and advises the Commissioner and executive team on communications and stakeholder engagement matters.
* This role involves delivering strategic and forward-thinking communication initiatives, fostering engagement, supporting public education and media liaison services while offering expert advice to the executive team.
Key responsibilities include leading and driving internal and public communications materials and strategies, engage with both internal and external stakeholders, lead external messaging and media relations, manage the website and social media platforms, share information with health providers and the public.

How you'll make a difference: * Develop, implement and deliver a comprehensive strategic communications and stakeholder engagement strategy for the HCC.
* Use digital tools to support effective collaboration with diverse audiences with the aim of clear and consistent messaging, managing expectations and building public awareness and confidence in the HCC.
* Provide expert advice, and clear direction on strategic communications to support the Commissioner and Executive regarding key messages, web content, media releases, annual reports, other publications, campaigns and marketing activities.
* Coach, mentor, develop and support others to grow and develop capability in broad communications issues.
* Provide stakeholder analysis and engagement support, and advise on strategy development, reputational and issues risk management in line with Victorian Government communications, media and stakeholder engagement frameworks.
* Deliver high quality, consumer focussed communications, products and campaigns to support the HCC strategic priorities, enhance brand awareness and meet objectives specified in the Health Complaints Act (2016).
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate: * A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in communications, media and/or community services is essential.
* A demonstrated knowledge of both internal and external communication principles and a track record in roles delivering successful communication solutions, is highly desirable.
