Senior Medical Administrator Role in a leading Radiation Oncology Cancer Care & Treatment Centre overseeing the Surgical Practice Management arm of the business.
Make a True Impact on the lives of patients and their loved ones Permanent Full-Time Position , Monday to Friday, with an attractive hourly rate About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Administration Officer to be the welcoming face and trusted point of contact for patients who receive care from our surgeons supported under our surgical practice management service.
More than just managing appointments and billing, you'll be ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for every patient and carer who walks through our doors.
Your role will be vital in upholding the highest standards of service and care, supporting our medical teams, and assisting the Administration Manager with key operations.
Your responsibilities include: Greeting patients warmly and assisting them with registration and personal details Coordinating and scheduling appointments for patients receiving vital care including surgical bookings Managing phone inquiries and addressing patient questions with empathy and accuracy Ensuring accurate receipting and invoicing Monitoring the administrative care path to ensure smooth and efficient service Maintaining meticulous patient records and data Supporting workplace health and safety initiatives, ensuring a safe environment for all Acting as a role model for Icon's values, always striving to enhance the patient experience Assisting the Administration Manager with leadership, operational functions, and team improvements About You: We're looking for someone who brings more than just administrative experience – we want a proactive, personable, and driven individual with a passion for making a difference.

Your Skills & Experience: At least three years of experience in a similar role, preferably in medical administration Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, and Private Health Insurance processes Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written Proficient in using computer systems, including Word and Excel with Gentu experience preferable but not essential A commitment to delivering top-tier customer service Advanced knowledge of medical terminology is a plus Join us and take on a role where your attention to detail, warm demeanour, and organizational skills will have a meaningful impact on patients' lives every single day.
