About the role Mater has an opportunity available for an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join our admissions team at Mater Private Hospital in a mixture of permanent, part-time (40 hours per fortnight) and casual positions. The successful candidate will need to be available for all shifts across Monday to Sunday anywhere between the hours of 05.30am to 08:30pm. You will be required to select which roles you are interested in upon application.
Your responsibilities will include: Providing Exceptional Customer Service to patients and clients.Processing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges and the preparation of clinical forms.Providing administrative support to clinical staff.Maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration and financial policy and procedures, and maintaining accurate, current, and accessible files.Demonstrating highly developed written communication skills, including the ability to draft routine correspondence on behalf of senior management.Providing administrative assistance to other senior staff and others as requested.Exercising judgement where necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures are not defined.About you To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Highly experienced in providing medical administration support.Highly developed time management and organisational skills.Strong computer skills including competence in using Patient Administration systems (or the ability to quickly learn new systems).Knowledge of Health Funds.Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively within a busy, fast-paced, demanding environment.Mater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
