About the roleMater Mothers Hospital is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Administration Officer on a
permanent part time basis (30 hours per week)
to join our team within the Admissions, Pregnancy Assessment Unit and Birth Suites areas.Mater Administration Officers are highly experienced in providing medical administration support, including using Patient Administration Systems, within hospital/healthcare environments. The successful applicant will be required to work 8.5 hour shifts and have flexibility for 24/7 shift work.Mater Mothers' Hospital has an excellent reputation for providing quality and compassionate care to women and babies with complex complications in pregnancy, in accordance with the philosophy and tradition of the Sisters of Mercy.Manage, organise and provide confidential administrative support with strong customer focus to staff, patients and visitorsProvide administrative assistance in a team environment focusing on attention to detail, time management and task prioritisation in a fast paced environmentExercise judgement where necessary to problem solve in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not definedProvide reception administration in an admission and emergency environment including booking and arriving patients, filing and liaising with clinical staff in accordance with departmental policy.Billing, receipting and banking knowledgeMedicare and Insurance knowledgeCarry out other administration functions as directed by your Team Leader/ManagerProvide accurate data entry using various network based information systemsAbout youTo be successful in this role, you will have:At least 3 years' experience in providing high level administration.
