About the role
The Mater Hospital Administration team has an opportunity available for an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join the Mater Cancer Care Centre (MCCC) Team.
We have a permanent part time, 19 hours per week position available based at Mater's South Brisbane Campus with our private and public team.
As a Senior Administration Officer, your role will involve but not be limited to:
Providing exceptional customer service to patients and clients.
Providing administrative support to clinical and medical staff.
Maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration and financial policies and procedures, maintaining accurate, current, and accessible files, including maintenance of records of relevant meetings and discussions.
Demonstrating highly developed written communication skills, including the ability to draft routine correspondence on behalf of senior management.
Providing administrative assistance to other senior staff and others as requested.
Exercising judgment where necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures are not defined.
Maintaining and meeting multiple KPIs daily.
Supporting staff training.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Experience in providing medical administration support.
Highly developed time management and organizational skills.
Strong computer skills, including competence in using Patient Administration systems (or the ability to quickly learn new systems).
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively within a busy, fast-paced, demanding environment.
Ability to use Excel.
