Position Overview
We are currently on the lookout for a fun, energetic, and vibrant Senior Administration Officer with excellent administration and organisational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment supporting various roles within our client's team. This position is on a temporary basis with the opportunity for permanency for the right person.
Day to day responsibilities: Provide administrative and secretarial support to the wider council services team reporting directly to the Chief Operations OfficerCoordinate committee meetings, prepare papers, and support management deliveryCollect, compile, and prepare documentation to support decision-making and information flowProcess routine financial transactions and purchasing servicesUpdate and maintain accurate records and databasesStay informed on relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure complianceDeliver business support services within agreed standards, timeframes, and accuracyMonitor and respond to emails, correspondence, and callsSupervise, mentor, and coach Administrative Officers and team membersManage fleet operations (asset register, purchasing, tracking, servicing, auction, livery)Collaborate with other Administration Officers to maintain council website and social media pagesProvide reports to business leads on actions and focus areasAnalyse data to prepare reports, measure KPIs, and improve operational efficiencyUndertake small to medium projects and research tasks as requiredEnsure effective stakeholder relationships and escalate KPI non-compliance to COOOccasional travel to remote communities by light aircraft or 4WD, including overnight stays if neededPerform other duties as directed, in line with skills and experienceWhat you need to succeed: Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration (or equivalent experience as an Executive Assistant/Senior Administration Officer)Strong organisational and time management skillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and quick to learn new systemsUnderstanding of financial practices with experience in Corporate Financial SystemsCurrent National Criminal History CheckCurrent Working with Children (OCHRE) CardBenefits & perks: Excellent pay rate between $50-$55 p/hWeekly paysMonday - Friday 8-4pmWinnellie locationTemp to Perm on offer for the right personTo apply for this position please select the Apply Now button and forward your resume in MS Word format only.
