Mater is currently looking for a motivated Senior Administrator to join the team within a maximum term contract until 11th of April 2025 at South Brisbane.
What you'll be doing
The Senior Administration Officer plays a key role in the delivery of exceptional service to Mater patients, relatives and staff.
The core function of the role is to support the daily administrative operational requirements of the outpatient clinics with a specific focus on operational efficiency. To proactively and often autonomously perform tasks relating to service delivery, senior business support, systems administration, and any other tasks as directed by the Team Leader/Manager, ensuring work performed is exceptional, every time.
The role will work closely with the Admin Team Leader/Manager and will be responsible for supporting the management of resources to meet business needs and growth.
Some of the duties include but are not limited to:
Actively participate in supporting a collaborative team culture by applying and adhering to Mater's Behavioural Standards and Code of ConductSupport recruitment and orientation of new team membersActively partner with consumers and patients, as well as interprofessional colleagues, to support service and operational objectives that provide an exceptional experience and outcomes, every timePerform senior administrative duties which may include but is not limited to:Appointment and waitlist ManagementDiary ManagementManage clinic, numbers and overbookings.Referral ManagementBookings and admissionsScheduling of maintenance workAction requests for patient informationReview and correct data quality issuesFiling and record managementSupport the coordination of meetings and events, recording and meeting minutes with clearly articulated action itemsParticipate in the implementation of projects, undertaking training and education as necessaryApply knowledge of the applicable work instruction/s and enterprise agreement to support rostering within the work unitApply the principles of Speaking With Good Judgement in all interactions with colleagues and peersAbout you
To be successful in the role you will have the following:
Certification/ tertiary qualification in Business Administration (or similar) highly regardedExperience using Health Information Systems (or equivalent)Proven experience working in a team within the Medical/Healthcare profession desirableThe ability to balance conflicting demands within tight timeframeAbility to maintain composure and positivity in times of changeMater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
