Operating from within Simtars' Training, Testing and Certification Centre, you will provide high-level administrative support to a team of nationally and internationally recognised experts in the field of explosion protection testing contributing towards our vision of zero serious harm in the Queensland resource sector.
We are looking for someone with excellent skills in the following areas:
Project managementProcurement and contract managementTravel planning and bookingsCommunication and stakeholder engagementWe are seeking a Senior Administration Officer to support our testing, certification, and calibration staff as they undertake testing and assessment associated with the national and international certification of explosion protected equipment.
Based in Redbank, Queensland, you will provide high-level administrative support to a team of nationally and internationally recognised experts in the field of explosion protection testing.
Key duties include: Provide high-level administration support and organisation to the Director, Testing, Certification and Calibration sections.Liaise, consult, negotiate and maintain effective communication with staff at all levels and with external parties, and deal with sensitive or confidential information in an appropriate manner.Oversee all administrative matters in relation to asset management, maintenance of registers, travel and procurement requirements (including consultancies and contractors).Provide high-level support through preparation of documents, reports, spreadsheets, quotes, tenders, collation of data, and proof reading and checking of correspondence and documents.Administer contracts for priority projects for business unit clients and other projects as required.Coordinate, plan and contribute to the preparation, development and implementation of the business unit operational and capital budget in consultation with the Director.Provide high-level support and contribution to the development of the quality management system and integration of quality systems into monitoring and reporting programs.Do you possess the following qualities: Demonstrated experience in executive and administrative officer support roles.Excellent communication skills to engage directly with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.Networking with internal and external stakeholders to deliver administrative outcomes.Outstanding time and project management skills.Ability to understand quality concepts and how they apply in business.If you are interested in this job, we encourage you to read the attached role description and talk to the contact officer.
