Job DescriptionAbout the Position: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 3-day per week, 6-month contract to join the Shire of Broome as Senior Administration and Governance Officer.
As part of the Governance team, this is a key role providing support and assistance to the Manager Governance, Strategy and Risk, as well as the wider organisation and Council, in meeting the Shire's legislative, statutory and performance obligations.
Key Responsibilities:A sound knowledge of the Local Government Act and regulations, or experience and exposure to other legislation and regulation in a compliance-related role.Experience in the preparation of agendas and minutes.Demonstrated experience in policy and procedure development.Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office 365.
Experience in Infocouncil will be highly regarded.The ability to work autonomously, exercising initiative and judgment, as well as in a team.Don't meet every single requirement?
