We have an exciting opportunity to join our Pricing Team as a Senior Actuarial Analyst. We are looking for an experienced and talented individuals to join our Actuarial team, as we expand our actuarial and pricing function.

Reporting to the Actuarial Manager you will perform actuarial calculations to assist the relevant business units obtain and manage a profitable business by supporting the work of the senior actuaries.

In this position, you will be responsible for:
Knowing and applying actuarial and statistical pricing techniquesCarrying out data analysis and responsibility for specific outputsDemonstrating ability to apply reasonableness checks and sound judgment to pricing outputsAssessing impact of pricing on key profit drivers and performance metricsTaking initiative to recommend changes to existing pricing processesDrafting pricing recommendations to be peer reviewed by more senior actuariesDeveloping relationships with internal stakeholders About you You have completed the Actuaries Institute's Part II course or are part way through your Part IIIs.Your sound knowledge and experience from a General Insurance pricing backgroundExperience with using SASProblem solving and decision-making skillsAbility to apply a range of statistical and actuarial techniques to solve technical pricing problemsAbility to extract, analyse and interpret data from several sources and resolve complex issuesStrong communication skills, including explaining complicated concepts in a simple way About QBE
