We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Senior Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team.
Role Overview: As a Senior Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be a key player in the management of our accounts receivable function.
You will ensure the timely collection of outstanding invoices, manage relationships with clients, and support the wider finance team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to senior management.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
Monitor and maintain customer accounts, including reconciling discrepancies and resolving billing issues.
Liaise with clients to ensure payment terms are met and negotiate payment plans where necessary.
Assist in month-end closing procedures and prepare detailed reports on aged receivables.
Provide insights into accounts receivable performance and help develop strategies to improve cash flow.
Work closely with internal teams, such as sales and customer service, to address any issues impacting collections.
Review credit limits and assess financial risks for new and existing clients.
Assist with audits and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
Maintain accurate records of all correspondence and collection activities.
Key Skills & Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an accounts receivable or finance role, ideally within a large or fast-paced organization.
Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, credit management, and cash flow optimization.
Proficient in accounting software (SAP & MYOB desirable) and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
A proactive and adaptable attitude with a drive for continuous improvement.
A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or business is desirable.
