This construction company based in Port Melbourne is looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. Your new role
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Manually processing invoices from 6 different entities.
Completing payment runs for the different entities, ensuring payments are correct and completed in a timely manner.
Ensuring the weekly and monthly folders are complete for the directors to approve payments.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders of the business.
Providing guidance and being a senior point of contact for the junior members of the team.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have strong accounts payable experience to ensure you can hit the ground running. You must also have strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, as well as helping train and mentor the junior accounts payable staff members. This role requires you to have a strong work ethic (occasionally staying a bit later than required) and the ability to work independently.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary paying up to $85,000 + super. The role will be fully office-based because the invoices are all paper-based, and the hours will be 9-5. However, they do go out on Fridays for team lunches, there will be additional days leave, and if you do work extra, you will be rewarded for it accordingly.
