We have a rare opportunity for a personable and highly skilled individual to join the finance team as our Senior Accounts Payable Officer.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Accounts Payable Officer will provide a high level of quality and timely service to the organisation by undertaking the Accounts Payable functions.
The role will be accountable for the integrity and accuracy of the accounts payable data.
In addition, as a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for, and contribute to, the financial well-being of the organisation by ensuring accurate and compliant financial practices relating to Accounts Payable.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Undertake the end-to-end accounts payable function for all entities across the consolidated group, including processing invoices and EFT payment batches.
Reconcile the aged creditors listing to creditor statements to ensure that all invoices are captured in the finance system.
Manage all accounts payable email inboxes and communicate with internal customers and external suppliers in a timely manner regarding invoice queries.
Review current practices and where possible, suggest improvements to enhance the accounts payable role through a higher level of efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide advice, and where necessary, perform investigations and analysis to implement effective solutions relating to resolving accounts payable queries.
May be required to undertake balance sheet reconciliations to support the preparation of end-of-month and end-of-year financial statements.
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS 5 years minimum experience performing a similar role in a large and complex organisation.
2 years minimum experience using Xero.
Highly developed computer skills, with the ability to learn new systems when required.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Highly developed organisational and work practice skills including the ability to prioritise workload.
Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to "think outside the box" and problem solve.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment.
Ability to support work practices that promote a positive finance and operations relationship.
