Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you will:
Prepare invoices and associated documents in line with client billing guidelines. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries efficiently. Manage reconciliations, operational purchases, and general bookkeeping tasks. Draft correspondence for overdue accounts and maintain financial integrity. Generate weekly and monthly management reports aligned with business KPIs. Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency. Collaborate on future business and financial systems integration projects. Provide general administrative support as needed. To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance. Strong proficiency in Xero (essential) and Microsoft Office Suite. Outstanding literacy and numeracy skills, with excellent attention to detail. Experience in legal billing systems or the insurance industry (highly desirable). A proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to confidentiality. Tasks Invoicing: Manage 25–70 invoices per week, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client requirements. Reconciliations: Oversee daily payment and credit card reconciliations. Reporting: Provide regular management reports and monitor system performance. Innovation: Review invoice templates and coding for billable tasks, identifying opportunities for process improvements. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Team Leader and external Accountant on workflow and financial strategies. What's in it for You?
