Senior Accounts And Finance Officer – Brisbane

The Senior Finance and Accounts Officer role requires a whole of business focus. This is a new role in which you will have the opportunity to contribute to business process improvements.
Your technical skills combined with teamwork and collaboration will yield optimum outcomes and contribute to the workflow of our dedicated team of Loss Adjusters and Claims Officers.
This role is Brisbane based.
About Client:Our client has been operating since 1995 and is a respected industry leader as Chartered Loss Adjusters and Claims Managers. We are growing in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
About YouYou have held a similar role as a CFO or as a senior member of an Accounts Team. Your Insurance industry or Law firm experience will be an advantage.
You have proven experience in accounts payable & receivable, reconciliations and reporting. You'll bring your critical-thinking skills and personal drive to the role. You are respectful, act with integrity and maintain confidentiality. You demonstrate initiative in managing your time and priorities.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will report directly to the Management TeamWeekly and monthly management reporting against business KPIsPreparing correspondence for overdue accountsIdentifying opportunities to improve the efficiency of business processesParticipating in future business and financial systems integration projectsMaintaining company information and registerYou will work collaboratively within the workflow of the businessPreparing invoices and associated documents according to client billing guidelinesMonitoring our financial and invoicing systemsReconciliations, operational purchases and general bookkeepingLiaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queriesSkills/QualificationsA relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or FinanceStrong knowledge of accounting principles and practicesHigh level competency and proficiency in Xero is necessary for this roleExperience in Legal Billing Systems (LEDES) is an advantage, but not essentialHigh level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MSWord, MSExcel)Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling and grammarExcellent problem solving skillsStrong attention to detailThe OfferImmediate startHybrid working environment, once training is completedCompetitive remunerationOpportunities for training and career development
