Senior Business Services Accountant
About the Role:
Lead Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Professional to join our Business Services and Advisory team in Melbourne. As a Senior Business Services Accountant, you will work alongside experienced professionals and develop a unique blend of taxation, management accounting, and professional services skills.
Responsibilities:
Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT or payroll tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts.
Utilize a range of accounting software including Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
Provide tax planning and business advisory services to clients, analyzing financial and non-financial information to assist clients in monitoring performance.
Develop strong relationships with clients and promote quality product delivery.
Recognize potential additional work opportunities among current clients and actively promote the firm and its services.
Participate in team training and mentoring, helping to grow the team's knowledge and contribute to the business as a whole.
Qualifications:
3+ years' experience in Business Services with strong technical skills.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar, with working towards or completed CA/CPA qualifications.
Solid understanding of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Expertise using accounting software including APS, MYOB, and cloud-based tools.
Australian Citizenship, work rights, or Permanent Residency status.
