Position Overview: We are on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team.
This role is focused on quality control, ensuring the utmost accuracy and compliance in our accounting work.
The Senior Accountant will also play a key role in supporting our Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) and engaging in various financial tasks and ad hoc duties.
This position is perfect for a seasoned accountant with a passion for public practice accounting, who prefers a role not centered around direct client interactions.
Key Responsibilities: Guide and support Junior Accountants on tax-related matters, including tax research, interpretation of tax laws, and application of accounting principles.Conduct quality reviews of accounting work, maintaining high standards and providing constructive feedback to ensure accuracy and compliance.Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of tax-related work.Ensure adherence to Australian tax laws and regulations, including GST, PAYG, and BAS lodgements.Support CRMs with client inquiries, compliance matters, and ad hoc duties.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.CPA or CA certification preferred.Over 5 years of experience in accounting, focusing on quality control and client support.Deep understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and tax laws.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite.Ability to manage workflow effectively in a fast-paced environment.Why Join Us?
