Join a well-established boutique firm, located in Southport. They have a close-knit team with very low staff turnover , so this role is suited to a candidate who has long-term career progression and stability in mind. The role is client facing .
You will be a pro-active individual , who is seeking to broaden your skills, gain experience and is motivated to assist clients by understanding their situation and deliver a customised service.
The ideal candidate would have the following attributes: -
• Be degree qualified in accounting
• Be either CPA/CA qualified or working towards these qualifications ;
• Have at least 4 plus years' experience in a public practice in Australia as a Senior Accountant.
• Possess excellent writing and communication skills in English
• Be a professional that takes pride in their work, takes accountability and manages "red flags" accordingly
• Ability to work with minimal supervision with a proven ability to manage your own workflows and lodgments;
• Be a fast-learner who can work on a variety of accounting software systems including (Xero and BGL software)
You will liaise with the Principal that will provide ongoing mentoring, training and support in your role.
The job responsibilities will include: -
• Preparation of IAS/BAS returns;
• Preparation of income tax returns and financial accounts for HNW clients, companies, trusts, Self-managed superannuation funds and sole-traders;
• Liaising with third party stakeholders and agencies such as ATO and ASIC
• Providing assistance in researching a range of taxation matters such as income tax, capital gains tax, GST, international tax and state-based taxes.
Salary range of ($90,000 to $120,000) will be offer based upon skills and experience. The role is office based.
