About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leading firm in the accounting and tax services industry, is seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join their highly experienced team. This firm is known for its modern and innovative approach to accounting, delivering high-quality services to a diverse client base. Overview of the Role:
As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality accounting work, supporting Relationship Managers in meeting client deadlines. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a skilled team, preparing financial statements, income tax returns, and providing tax planning services. You will also be involved in mentoring junior accountants, attending client meetings, and ensuring all work meets the firm's high standards of accuracy and compliance. This position is ideal for someone looking to advance their career within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for all entity types.
Handle Activity Statements and Fringe Benefits Tax Returns.
Assist in Tax Planning preparation and reviewing Income Tax Returns.
Mentor and train junior accountants, ensuring they develop the skills necessary for success.
Engage with clients and external parties, maintaining excellent communication and relationship management.

Overview of the Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accounting. They will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to mentoring and team collaboration. The successful candidate will be experienced in using Microsoft Office and Xero, and ideally have knowledge of Salesforce, Box, MYOB, and Reckon.
Essential Qualifications:

Post Graduate Degree in Accounting
Commenced or completed CA or CPA
5+ years of practical experience within a public accounting practice
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Xero

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with Salesforce, Box, MYOB, and Reckon
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
