About Our ClientOur client is a newly created group that owns and operates early learning centres in Western Australia, with aspirations of future growth to have a significant presence within the early childhood education sector.Job DescriptionManage day-to-day financial operations, including preparation of month-end accounts, overseeing payroll, accounts payable and receivable ensuring compliance with all financial regulations.Lodging indirect taxes such as super, payroll tax, ATO, BAS, and FBT.Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.Alongside the CFO & CEO, manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor financial performance and analyse variances.Prepare and deliver detailed monthly management reports, financial statements, and cash flow forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and preparation of annual financial statements.Lead and develop a team of two.Liaise with external auditors, manage yearly insurance renewals, and ensure all statutory compliance requirements are met.Work closely with other departments to develop business leaders' financial acumen, ensuring alignment with financial goals.The Successful ApplicantA successful Senior Accountant should have:A degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, with professional qualification (CA/CPA).5+ years of experience in accounting or finance function.Previous experience working in a hands-on position managing a small team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence within the business.Excellent attention to detail and numerical proficiency.What's on OfferA supportive and inclusive team culture.Opportunity to join a newly established business and make the finance function your own.Competitive flexible working arrangements.Permanent role with stability and growth opportunities.
