Job Type: Full time Salary: $125,000 – $140,000 base + superannuation Mining Services Group gaining market share under strong leadership.
About the Role This is a newly created and varied hands-on position and 2ic to the Group Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the small finance transactions team, overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
Lead and manage the month-end GL close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Balance sheet reconciliations across the Group, providing monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reviews, including commentary and analysis.
Working capital management including optimisation of assets and monitoring of payables and receivables.
Prepare BAS submissions and ensure timely compliance with Australian tax laws.
Manage Taxation including Payroll Tax, FBT and GST.
Audit liaison for the team during external audits, ensuring audit requirements specific to the Group are met.
Assist with the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets, working closely with senior management to track performance and identify trends.
Key Requirements CA/CPA qualification with minimum 2 years post qualification experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
Drive to deliver a high standard of work in an accurate and timely manner.
Agility to adjust to a fast-paced environment as the team grows.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A passion for working collaboratively and being part of a highly functioning team.
Public practice experience will be highly regarded.
