Senior Accountant

The business is at the forefront of a global industrial trend and to support its commitment to growth it is now seeking a career minded senior accountant to join its Melbourne Head Office.Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will primarily be responsible for the timely preparation of the monthly reporting pack, project costing, and the implementation of standard costing. In addition, your broad mandate will include supporting the team in a broad range of day-to-day and periodic financial administration tasks including the preparation of monthly management reports and insightful value-added commentary for the business, reviewing and analysing forecasts, budget variances, ensuring indirect tax compliance, and supporting the annual audit process. As a proactive member of a small Head Office finance function, you will be expected to form collegial working relationships with stakeholders throughout the business, lead the ongoing development and maintenance of appropriate financial controls, processes, and procedures, and contribute to special projects as directed.This hands-on role is likely to appeal to a qualified CA/CPA who is now seeking a broadly scoped and senior role in a forward-looking manufacturing enterprise. Your experience in a high calibre, fast-paced SME environment will be complemented with strong systems and process improvement skills.
