MissionTo produce accurate financial results and ensure appropriateness of the month-end processes in conjunction with both onshore and offshore Finance teams. To provide reporting and other support to the stakeholders. To perform project work to update, simplify and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting/system processes and strengthen internal controls.ResponsibilitiesPrepare financial statements, including accurate and timely preparation/posting of journals.Provide profit and loss related analysis/commentary.Prepare regulatory reports.Prepare and review robust and meaningful balance sheet reconciliations.Respond to financial inquiries or reporting requests by collecting, summarizing, analyzing and interpreting data and provide monthly, weekly and ad hoc reporting.Ensure accounting compliance with accounting standards (in particular, AASB 118 Revenue, AASB 116 Property Plant & Equipment and AASB 112 Income Taxes) and related USGAAPs including accounting for leases.Ensure compliance with Group Policies.Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Facilitate submission of analysis/documents required for internal and external audit.Assist with tax filings and tax audits.Drive process improvements and value add initiatives to continuously improve all aspects of accounting, results preparation, reporting, accuracy and customer experience.Provide accounting policy and process guidance to offshore team as needed.Perform other project work as and when required.Provide support to the Head of Finance Operations and Finance Director including FP&A areas.Stakeholder EngagementStrong communication and presentation skills.Present data and reports in digestible and readable format.Ensure that stakeholders are communicated with and responded to in a timely manner.Qualification• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.• 7 years minimum (some audit experience would be an advantage).Posting date: 17-09-2024
