In addition, fosters close working relationships, has a high attention to detail and has a methodical and process-driven mindset.Working out of our well-appointed city-based offices in Perth and reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will ensure the financial integrity, compliance, and efficiency of the company's financial processes, reporting, and systems. The role serves as a key liaison between financial operations, management, and external stakeholders, contributing to strategic decision-making, maintaining robust internal controls, and ensuring regulatory compliance.You will be required to travel to site a minimum of 2 days per month and provide coverage for the Financial Controller and Accountant.Your role will be responsible for:Cost ManagementDeveloping and implementing appropriate cost accounting procedures, reviewing purchase orders for status and regular monitoring for correct coding and classifications, management of debtors, and all aspects of Tax Compliance, covering GST, FTC, Income Tax, FBT, R&D, and Royalties (State and Native title).Preparation of the annual financial report and assigned disclosure notes in accordance with relevant Corporations Act 2001, Australian Accounting Standards, and other authoritative pronouncements of the AASB.Preparation of SO4's investor's consolidation pack.ABOUT YOUWe are on the lookout for a talented financial professional with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (or related field) and a qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA.To thrive in this role, you'll bring a minimum of 5 years' experience in financial and management accounting, ideally within the mining industry. We are seeking someone with a proven ability to handle a broad range of accounting functions and a strong, strategic approach to sourcing, analysing, and interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data.
