About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join the team.
This is an end to end finance role - responsible for leading the AD Mining accounts team, financial reporting and partnering with various levels of the AD Mining business to improve our costings and our operational performance.
This role will be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant looking to take the next step in their career!
Key Responsibilities
Project, Management and Financial accounting for various divisions.
Strong focus on Management Accounting, specifically analysing costs of goods sold and ways to improve operational efficiencies.
Inventory management.
End of month reporting functions.
Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Liaise with Project Managers to ensure monthly forecasting has been completed.
Provide information to Divisional Managers regarding monthly profit take-up and forecasting results.
Development of hourly rates for production recovery, charge out rates etc.
Produce Project Reports.
Full profit & loss review and monthly reporting of variances.
Annual Budget preparation.
Manage an Accounts payable/receivable team.
Skills and Experience
Competence in Accounting practices such as P&L analysis, journal entry, reallocation of expenses, balance sheet reconciliations, etc.
Strong cost accounting experience - with cost of goods sold analysis in a manufacturing environment being highly regarded.
Inventory management experience.
Ability to partner with our operational teams.
Formal qualifications in Accounting / Business Studies / Administration or equivalent experience.
Skilled in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel.
Organised & methodical, with effective time management skills.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work both autonomously or as part of a team.
A good working knowledge of GreenTree – MYOB and Pronto.
Excellent attention to detail.
